Barbara Howey
studied at graduate level at both Leeds University and Norwich
School of Art and Design. She has just completed a residency
at Huddersfield University which will culminate in a solo
show in early 2005 at Huddersfield Art Gallery. Her work
will also be featured at Sheffield University in May 2004
and the Visions Gallery in Tokyo in April 2004.

The paintings are constructed from the manipulation of "found" imagry
drawn from film, textile and textual archive material to
evoke feeling related to loss and desire
