(b.1952 London)
studied at Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College where
she taught from 1989-95. Has exhibited extensively both nationally
and internationally. Clare has exhibited with Elm Hill Contemporary
Art since 1999. The distinctive use of line in her drawings
follows through into the drypoint etchings which are often
on a very large scale.

The works look at the superficial impact
of a shape or pattern, with the awareness of the dark energy
that the blackness at the centre generates. These are powerful
and uncompromising images.
